We Tried the Halloween Treats at Disney California Adventure and They Were Aah!-mazing

Have you heard about all of the new sweet treats available during Halloween Time at Disneyland Resort? We were recently able to visit Disney California Adventure to try these sweet delicacies, as well as some savory Halloween Time treats, and our tummies were thankful. Here’s just a taste of what you can expect if you head to Disneyland Resort before October 31:

Bat Wing Cookie

This chocolate cookie made our hearts soar. Not only is it the first chocolate cookie ever produced at Disney California Adventure (#HistoricCookie), it has also perfected the ever-elusive cookie softness ratio. It was surprisingly soft and chewy, and the chocolate flavor was *chef’s kiss*.

Bat Wing Raspberry Sundae

Place the above bat wing cookie on top of a white chocolate-raspberry swirl ice cream along with sprinkles, whipped cream, and raspberry sauce, and what do you get? You get a sundae so sweet and scrumptious that it will be our sundae inspo forever. You can get it at Clarabelle’s Hand Scooped Ice Cream on Buena Vista Street!

Spider Silk Ice Cream Sandwich

Also available at Clarabelle’s Hand Scooped Ice Cream, this was quite possibly our favorite dessert of the day. The charcoal-tart cherry ice cream was delectable, the macaron was perfectly baked, and the popping candy that topped it was such a joyous surprise we squealed with delight.

Enjoying this.

Ghost-ly Pepper Nachos

We want to go back and eat this with every meal this week. They are the perfect spice level and so, so delicious. You can get these nachos at Cove Bar, you should get these nachos at Cove Bar, and you will get these nachos at Cove Bar. As (probably) witches, this is our positive curse upon you. You won’t regret it.

Dragon Breath Tacos

These tacos, available at Studio Catering Co., are filled with pork belly, Korean barbecue sauce, kimchi slaw, and sriracha aioli. We are fusion taco aficionados, and these are now up there as some of our faves.

Monstermallow Donut

This was almost too cute and vibrant to eat, but we ate it anyway and aren’t sorry about it! The marshmallow filling was as fluffy as we’d dreamed it would be. You can get it at Schmoozies!

Slow Burnin’ Mac & Cheese Cone

This cheesy pasta is a must-have if you like cheese, pasta, and spicy food. We had never had mac & cheese out of a cone before, let alone a Black Cauldron Cone, but we will definitely be coming back to the Cozy Cone Motel for more of this savory snack.

Car-achnid Pot Pie

We ate this so quickly we couldn’t even properly think of words to describe it. It was just really, really great. We need to go back to Flo’s V-8 Café for more ASAP.

Overall, we had a very satisfying Halloween Time food crawl at Disney California Adventure (okay, it was more of a food dash because there just wasn’t enough time to try everything we wanted to try), and we can’t wait to go back for more!
