Born to Party at Disney Parks

When Walt Disney designed the first Disney Park, he set out to create an experience that would always feel special to be a part of. Combining this feeling with another special moment in your life is a great way to create memories that will truly stand out. Birthdays are one of those moments that only get better when you celebrate at Disneyland or Walt Disney World, both of which offer special perks for you to take advantage of, no matter how old you are.

On your birthday, check in upon arrival at Disneyland’s City Hall on Main Street, U.S.A. or Walt Disney World’s Vacation Planning Booths and pick up a complimentary birthday button with your name on it. These big, bold buttons will get the attention of not only the cast members and costumed characters you see throughout the day, but also other park attendees who will go out of their way to wish you the best. You might round a corner and find a prince or princess prepared to serenade you, or a busload of school children who won’t stop singing until they see you smile.

Both of the parks also offer a variety of birthday cakes which can be ordered in advance of dining at select restaurants, but you’d be best off booking your birthday meal at one of the Character Dining locations. If you’re going to eat a Mickey-shaped cake, you might as well have it brought out by the Mouse himself! Or, you could always request something else. Disney’s cake makers aim to impress, no matter how old the birthday boy or girl.
