As someone who lives an hour from Walt Disney World, is a member of Disney Vacation Club, a Disney Visa cardholder, and a Florida Resident Seasonal Pass Holder, I am obviously a big fan. I have a friend who had never been to a Disney Park and I had to change that. She came down to visit and I go a room at Boardwalk Villas and also left word that it was her first visit at age 70.
When we checked into our room there was a phone message for her. It was Goofy welcoming her to her first visit. She was stunned! And then she confessed to me that she had always liked Goofy best. We had a wonderful time and finally hunted Goofy down near Pirates of the Caribbean and got her picture with him.
The next year she came back and we did Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party. She wouldn’t tell me what her costume was going to be. I couldn’t stop laughing when I saw the costume she made for herself. We called her “Foogy,” because she had come dressed as Goofy’s mother! Walt Disney World is truly for kids of ALL ages.
