The winners of the Academy Awards have just been announced! Frozen scored big, taking home two Oscars. Read on for a recap and some Frozen highlights from the night.

One of our favorite elements of the show is always the live musical performances of the Best Original Song nominees, and this year was no different. Among the performances was Idina Menzel, the voice of Elsa in Frozen, singing “Let it Go,” written by Kristen Anderson-Lopez and Robert Lopez.
And if seeing the performance live weren’t special enough, “Let it Go” was also awarded the Oscar for Best Original Song! A bit of trivia worth noting: with this win, Robert Lopez’s collection of awards now includes an Emmy, Grammy, Oscar, and Tony. This special distinction, winning an EGOT, has been achieved by only eleven other people, including Audrey Hepburn, Mel Brooks, and Whoopi Goldberg.
If you missed it, don’t worry. You can see Idina’s performance online at the official Oscars website, where they’ve got videos of all the songs.
Earlier tonight, we watched with great anticipation as Frozen competed in another category: Animated Feature Film. We are happy to announce that Frozen was named Best Animated Feature! Directors Chris Buck and Jennifer Lee took to the stage to accept their award, alongside producer Peter Del Vecho. This is the first ever win for Walt Disney Animation Studios in this category.

Congratulations not just to Frozen, but to all of tonight’s big winners. Take a look at the complete list, below, and make sure to head to Oscars.com for all of the videos and photos from the event.
