The makers of Star Wars Battlefront, DICE Studio of Stockholm, Sweden, recently became the envy of Star Wars fans worldwide. During the E3 video game expo in Los Angeles, CA, it was revealed that DICE has been hard at work at a new blockbuster video game set among the Star Wars universe.
As part of video game publisher Electronic Arts’ E3 presentation, they released a video that shows the way in which staff at DICE have been researching the Star Wars franchise, including trips to the Lucasfilm Cultural Arts Museum as well as pilgrimages to the original sets of Star Wars: Episode IV-VI. With this video, DICE’s staff has most definitely made a lot of Star Wars fans jealous, as they’re seen getting a personal tour including face-time with some of Star Wars’ most iconic props, miniatures, and sets.
There’s no release date associated with Star Wars Battlefront just yet, and the video shows that the game’s development is still in its early stages. However, the footage that they’ve released is already gorgeous to look at, and we’re more than a little excited at the prospect of saddling up on speeder bikes of our own to cruise across the surface of Endor, even if it means dodging the occasional blaster or two.
