Throwback Thursday: Pinocchio Posters

Brave, truthful, and unselfish–these are the qualities which helped Pinocchio become a real boy way back in 1940, and which still guide Disney heroes today. When Pinocchio was released, it was only the second feature film for Walt Disney Productions, and represented a major financial and artistic undertaking, greater than even Snow White. Luckily, the film was a critical success, and helped to further define the sophisticated artistic sensibilities of a Disney animated film. Over the decades to follow, Pinocchio would find itself back in movie theatres time and time again, expanding its audience and growing its reputation as a true classic of animation.
