A lot of great things happen in the woods, it seems. Romance, friendship, the just plain mysterious and the just plain beautiful – they all seem to happen against these alpine backdrops. Which makes us ask, why are we not relocating there immediately? Some great things to find in the woods:
Winnie the Pooh’s Jar of Honey

The Hundred Acre Wood might be the only place where Winnie the Pooh could hug a jar of honey the size of a small tree. But, then again, it’s where pretty much everything great happens with Winnie the Pooh and his friends. And the Backson. We can’t forget the Backson.
Robin Hood and Little John’s Saunter

Boring? Hardly. They’re too busy laughing back and forth at what the other’n has to say.
Aurora and Prince Phillip’s Meet-Cute

Swoon. Heading to the nearest glen… now.
Jack Skellington’s Discovery

Key moment right there. When Jack goes wandering in the woods all night, we’re not exactly sure what will come of it. But it’s all worth it when he stumbles across the entrance to Christmas itself.
Cheshire Cat’s Appearance

A big, fat, happy cat appears out of mid-air. What’s more magical than that?
Merida and the Will O’ The Wisps

Fate-seekers, head to the woods. You just might find your own set of blue lights. Just beware of peculiar witches.
Pocahontas and All the Colors of the Wind

And John Smith. Can’t forget that guy.
The Snuggly Duckling’s Location

It’s where dreams are realized (read: sung). Much to Flynn Rider’s chagrin.
Tinker Bell Meeting Her Sister

Yes, Tink has a sister! Her name is Periwinkle. Technically they meet in an ice haven within the Winter Woods, but it still counts.
Goofy and Max Filming Bigfoot

Supposedly. Bigfoot kind of ruined that huge discovery opportunity when he ripped out the film. That’s okay, that same scene introduced us to “Hi, Dad” soup. So we forgive you, Bigfoot.
Bambi Learning To Walk
And it’s adorable. Just like everything this prince of the forest does.
So clearly there are many reasons why we should head out to the wilderness more often. From Backsons to Bigfoot and princes to fairies, there are adventures just waiting for us.
