This morning, Walt Disney Studios announced the Million Dollar Arm pitching contest, where amateur pitchers across the U.S. will have the chance to compete for a million dollar prize. Qualifying male or female pitchers will compete in preliminary rounds at Walt Disney World, Disneyland, or the Tribeca/ESPN Sports Day at the Tribeca Family Festival in New York City. The three athletes who throw the fastest strikes will move on to the finals at the world premiere of Million Dollar Arm in Hollywood, California. At the premiere, each finalist will have a chance to win $1,000,000, if he or she can throw a 100mph strike.
