Sure, winter is a wonderful time of the year. But, let’s be honest: three months of cold, wet weather can start to affect a person’s mood. It’s only a matter of time before that fluffy, white snow outside your window starts to look a little gray, and all you want to do is beg Elsa to bring back summer.
Luckily, we’ve devised a simple step-by-step guide to combat your winter blues and help you stay happy, warm, and healthy this winter. This is Olaf’s guide to being a happy snowman:
1. Ask for warm hugs and you shall receive.
It’s as simple as that. There’s no shame is saying “Hey, there’s a very real possibility that I might have frost bite. Would you mind giving me a warm hug?”
2. Bubble baths are a must.
Don’t feel bad about giving the cold shoulder to your shower this winter. A relaxing bubble bath will warm you up and soothe your mood.
3. Don’t lose your head at the first sign of snow.
At the end of the day, an inch or two of snow is nothing to stress about. An inch or two of yellow snow on the other hand…
4. Spend time outside with friends.
It’s hard to have a conversation when your teeth are chattering. So make sure you (and your loved ones) are appropriately dressed before embarking on your next snow-filled adventure.
5. Turn up the heat.
There’s nothing like the crackle of a nice, warm fire after spending all day in the snow. Just remember: don’t touch it!
6. Stop and smell the roses.
Wishing for warmer weather won’t make it any less cold. So why not try to enjoy what winter has to offer? Take a little time to see how beautiful the winter can be.
7. Appreciate the little things.

Since you’re probably not getting gorgeously tanned in winter, start planning your summer getaway early. Preferably somewhere warm and sunny.
