Before we begin, we have to admit that we have very little experience interacting with aliens, extraterrestrial lifeforms, or martians. But, if we did meet an alien, we would hold them to an extremely high standard, thanks to the adorable and mischievous Stitch from Lilo & Stitch. Experiment 626 has come along way from his evil days and we know that without a doubt, he’s the most charming alien in this galaxy or the next. Here’s why:
1. He says hello and gives hugs.
How many aliens do you know that are this polite upon first meeting? We have a feeling most wouldn’t take the time to learn your language right away and introduce themselves so nicely.
2. He builds the entire city of San Francisco just to destroy it.
We don’t know why, but we find it adorable when Stitch runs amok through his fake San Francisco cityscape pretending to be a giant monster. We bet most aliens would look less than charming destroying a city.
3. When he learns the story of the Ugly Duckling, our collective hearts all break.
He’s just SO. CUTE. He carries around the book and we all have a case of the feels for our lost little alien friend.
4. He knows how to make laundry fun.
Confession: we might do this exact same move every time we have to do laundry.
5. He’s a pro dancer.
We bet most aliens would never be able to break it down like Stitch. Look at that precision! Someone get Stitch on Dancing with the Stars!
6. He does an amazing impression of Elvis Presley.
All Elvis Presley impersonators hold their head in shame when Stitch comes on to the scene. We think The King would approve of Stitch’s spot-on tribute.
7. He tries his best at new things.
When he tries to build a little sandcastle, we can’t help but collectively “aww” as he puts a little leaf on top as the flag. A+ for effort and cuteness, Stitch.
8. He’s quite punny.
He hasn’t been in Hawaii for long, but Stitch catches on quickly to human jokes. Throwing a Bug (the car, not the insect) and saying “punchbuggy!”? Classic.
9. He’ll do anything for his ‘ohana.
Stitch will go to the ends of the earth (quite literally) to help his family, because, say it it with us, “‘Ohana means family. Family means nobody gets left behind, or forgotten.’”
