In Summer: A Retrospective

Summer has come to an end, friends, and now is the time to look back on all of the fun in the sun and the happy memories we made. For inspiration, we looked to one of our favorite summer-loving characters. Olaf has always loved the idea of summer, and sun, and all things hot … and like Olaf, we’re going to close our eyes and think about all of the things we did in summer.

1. The great outdoors set the scene for a positively perfect summer season.
Picture this: it’s a beautiful sunny day, the bees are buzzing, the dandelion fuzz wafts through the air, and you’re frolicking about in a beautiful meadow. Welcome to your happy place. This summer memory will definitely carry you through those gray winter months to come.

2. Beach days were the best days.
Days spent beachside are a summer staple. Remember the feeling of the sand between your toes? Olaf doesn’t have toes (or a skull, or bones), but you do, and we bet at some point this summer you dug ’em into the sand.

3. Floating around on a boat was nice.
Breezy days out on the open sea made us never want to return to shore.

4. Floating around in the water was even nicer.
We weren’t privileged enough to have a reindeer inner tube at our disposal, but we have it on our summer wish list for next year.

5. We made some fun summertime friends.
All of our new buddies thought we were pretty cool in summer. We returned the sentiment and appreciated their seashell-themed jewelry aesthetic.

6. And maybe even found a summer love.
Summer lovin’ happens so fast, and because of our affinity for warm hugs, we had to make sure to give our summer sweetheart as many as possible before the sun set on our our time together.

7. There were times to sing and dance.
Winter is a good time to stay in and cuddle, but summer is the time to get out and party. It’s the time for weddings, outdoor concerts, and birthday parties galore. We perfected our dance moves and showed them off at every occasion.

8. And there were times to relax with old pals.
We took some time to relax and let off steam, whether it was on a vacation in a tropical paradise or just chilling out with a friend on the weekend.

9. The best part of summer was spending quality time with the people we love.
The skies were blue and our friends were there with us, too. There’s nothing like a fun day at the park picnicking with our best buddies.

10. Now, we hold onto our dreams of what’s in store for next summer.
As a certain snowman once said, ♫ When life gets rough I like to hold onto my dream of relaxing in the summer sun just lettin’ off steam! ♫ We couldn’t have said it better ourselves.
