It’s no secret we wish all Disney characters inhabited the same world, had the same friends, and breathed the same air. Who wouldn’t want to see Ariel and Rapunzel swap hair tips, or Olaf give Grumpy a warm hug? While we’ve been dreaming, Disney animators have made the separation a little easier to bear by hiding clever nods and easter eggs throughout our favorite films. We found several before, but knew there was way more magic to be unearthed. So we’re unearthing it. Right now.
Aladdin
The Sultan’s trinket tower wouldn’t be complete without a toy as old as time.
The Princess and the Frog
Apparently Mama Odie has some power in her corner now, and we’re not talking about voodoo.
The Hunchback of Notre Dame
Welcome to the streets of Paris; here, you may find a magically embroidered carpet made in Agrabah, a wild and exotic warthog native to the African Pride Lands, or even a young provincial girl with dreams of venturing into the great wide somewhere. Suffice to say, France is quite the Disney melting pot.
Lilo and Stitch
Before Stitch came along, Lilo had another adorable animal with floppy ears to remind her that being different doesn’t hold you down; it carries you up.
The Great Mouse Detective
Alice’s giant sneeze must have blown Bill the Lizard right out of Wonderland and into the sewers of London?
A Goofy Movie
With just a little faith, trust, and pixie dust, you can bring the ships (and crocodiles) of Never Land to your school theater too.
Aladdin
Spotted wandering the streets of Agrabah: John Musker and Ron Clements, the directors of Aladdin.
Tangled
In terms of easter eggs, the bookshop scene from Tangled is an absolute gold mine. Three classic tales appear in book form: Beauty and the Beast lies on the floor next to Flynn and Rapunzel, The Little Mermaid sits atop a table in the upper right-hand corner, and Sleeping Beauty is displayed in front of the window.
And bonus:
Frozen
PSA: Disney does not endorse eating your own boogers.
