We know what you’re thinking: you don’t technically need an excuse to have a Disney movie marathon. But just in case you want one anyway, we’ve compiled 11 exceptionally valid ones. Use them liberally.
1. It is your unbirthday.

On this, the date of your unbirth, it’s all about celebrating you. If there’s a better way to do that than with a Disney movie marathon of your choosing, we don’t want to know about it.
2. You’ve just had some sort of dental procedure.

It is a truth universally acknowledged, that a person who has just had wisdom teeth pulled needs nothing more than to sit on a couch and watch a sequence of Disney movies to recover.
3. Your best friend is the most beautiful, perfect human in the world.
Feeling particularly grateful for the flawless being who does weird voices with you, helps ghostwrite your risky texts, and tags you in funny things on Instagram? Invite them over and celebrate your friendship the Disney way.
4. You really nailed that big presentation/test/group lunch order.

For weeks you’ve been studying, preparing, and psyching yourself up … and all that effort was worth it, because the big moment came and you left it all out on the field. Reward yourself.
5. You ran out of shampoo and conditioner at the same time.

You’ve achieved the impossible and you feel moved, grateful, and blessed. This may never happen again, so you better mark the occasion with a celebratory marathon.
6. You realize that it’s been years since you’ve seen that one Disney movie.

When was the last time you watched Hercules? 2011? That will not do. Line up some of the Disney movies that you don’t know every single word to. It’s the closest thing to watching a new one. And we will eagerly await this year’s slate of actual new ones.
7. You need a reminder that magic exists.

No one can stay sad through a screening of a Disney movie, much less five Disney movies.
8. It’s raining.

Tut tut, it looks like you couldn’t possibly leave the house in these conditions, and instead must stay safely indoors covered in comfy blankets and watching every Disney Princess movie in a row!
9. It’s been a little while since you and your family have had quality time.

Disney movie marathons have been uniting the generations since the dawn of man, and who are we to end this sacred tradition?
10. A bridge troll stopped you on your way home from school, and you answered all three of his riddles in record time.

What luck! You’ve made it home without any excessive delay. We think you can guess how we want you to use that time you saved.
11. It’s a day that ends in “Y.”

This is all the excuse you need.
Happy marathoning!
