Celebrate Meet the Robinsons’ Anniversary With these Fun Easter Eggs

If there’s one film that makes us smile every time we see it, it’s Meet the Robinsons. In addition to having a heart-warming story, one of the reasons we return to it time and time again is because we love looking for fun easter eggs—which spoiler: there are a lot of. In celebration of the film’s 12th birthday, we decided to round up a few of our favorite references. Enjoy!

Tomorrowland and Space Mountain

When Wilbur and Lewis arrive in the future, they fly past a sign that reads “Todayland.” But, the reference doesn’t stop there; behind it you’ll see a building that resembles the Space Mountain attraction from Walt Disney World.

The Jungle Book and Toy Story 2

Here’s another twofer! When Lewis comes to see Goob at the baseball field, there are two Disney movie references nearby. On the fence (from left to right) you’ll see an images of The Jungle Book and Toy Story 2. We’d say they have great taste, wouldn’t you?

Mickey Mouse

If you can’t spot this one at first glance, let me give you a little hint: take a closer look at the watch in Gaston’s hand. Yep, it’s shaped like Mickey Mouse!

Anderson Observatory

Anderson Observatory is actually a fun nod to the director of the film, Stephen Anderson.

Nikola Tesla

We spy with our little eyes: an image of Nikola Tesla on the wall in Lewis’ bedroom! Considering Tesla is a known futurist and inventor, it makes sense that he’d have an honored spot on the wall in Meet the Robinsons.

Tom Selleck

If you’re not familiar with that charming mug, that’s an image of Tom Selleck (who provides the voice for Wilbur’s father Cornelius)! When Wilbur is asked what his dad looks like, he references the famous actor.

Mickey Mouse and Mrs. Potts

Aha! It’s another hidden Mickey. If you look at the blue circles in the garden, you’ll notice that they form the shape of our favorite mouse. Also, since one reference isn’t enough, the nearby hedge bears a strong resemblance to Mrs. Potts from Beauty and the Beast.

Which easter egg is you favorite? Let us know in the comments!
