Tim Burton’s The Nightmare Before Christmas is Creeping Back to the Hollywood Bowl

Editor’s Note: Due to popular demand, there’s now a third Nightmare show at the Bowl: Friday, October 28!

If you’re a fan of The Nightmare Before Christmas it’s time to make room in your calendars, because the film is coming back to the Hollywood Bowl! Friday October 28 – Sunday October 30, Danny Elfman (Jack Skellington), Catherine O’Hara (Sally), Ken Page (Oogie Boogie) and Paul Reubens (Lock) will return to sing live with an orchestra on stage as their respective characters, while the film plays on a massive screen behind them. If you missed the show’s debut last year, or want to indulge in experiencing it again, this is the perfect opportunity to make your Halloween extra spooky!

“Being able to perform Nightmare live last year, in synch to the movie with a full orchestra was such a thrill. But having Catherine O’Hara, Ken Page, and Paul Reubens to perform with me really made it a unique and magical experience,” said Elfman. “I’m happy to bring it to our amazing Los Angeles audience one more time.”

Catherine O’Hara, the original voice of Sally added, “I’m proud to once again be part of such a fun evening celebrating Danny’s musical genius.”

The performance follows in the wake of the wildly popular live performance of The Little Mermaid at the Hollywood Bowl. We’re excited to see the venue once again be transformed into Halloween Town.

Ahead of the show, there will be several spooky activities including a costume contest, unique photo opportunities, and trick-or-treating stations. It’s sure to be a nightmare to remember.

The Nightmare Before Christmas will play at the Hollywood Bowl Friday and  Saturday October 29 at 8:00 p.m. and Sunday October 30 at 6:30 p.m. Tickets have officially gone on sale and can be found here.
