When you’re bored and you want to do something, you call up your real world friends right? But what do you do if they’re all busy? What if we suggested that you consider hanging out with Disney ghosts? It definitely opens up a whole realm of possibilities! Here are our top picks for the Disney ghosts that we want at our next shindig:
1. Haunted Mansion Ghosts, Disneyland and Walt Disney World

Beware of hitchhiking ghosts? More like party with hitchhiking ghosts! Grim, grinning ghosts come out to socialize indeed with these mystical beings. We’re sure they know how to throw a soiree that’s out of this world.
2. Mulan’s Ancestors, Mulan

One thing’s for sure—these ghosts have a lot to say, so you know that hanging out with them won’t be boring. You might get more opinions than you can deal with, but it’s easier to have too much information than too little right? And bless their hearts for wanting to protect loved ones by summoning stone dragons from slumber.
3. Lonesome Ghosts, The Mickey Short “Lonesome Ghosts”

The original mischief makers of Disney cartoons, these Lonesome Ghosts of the Mickey short by the same name will help make sure you don’t feel quite so lonely. They put the “trick” in trick-or-treat!
4. Mufasa, The Lion King

Sometimes it’s nice just to hang out and have deep, philosophical talks. For those more relaxed chat sessions, Mufasa should be your mane guy. You can lie back and just stare at the clouds—which also means you’ll be looking at him. Bonus friendship points: If you have a tendency to forget who you are, he’s got your back.
5. Zero, Nightmare Before Christmas

If dogs are a man’s best friend, then a ghost dog is your best friend forever! Zero is super adorable, loyal, and has a useful glowing nose to help you out of any foggy situation.
6. Headless Horseman, The Legend of Sleepy Hollow

Ever heard the saying two heads are better than one? What about one head permanently detached from a body on a horse? Best. Party trick. Ever.
7. Ghost Piglet, Things That Go Piglet in the Night

This might be the one ghost that’s actually more scared of you than you’ll be of it. Although his being a ghost is a happy accident, we think any amount of time with dear little ghost Piglet would be worth it.
8. Davy Jones, Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man’s Chest

His ghost-ness may not be clearly defined, but as captain of a ghost pirate ship he’s definitely some kind of undead being. So, we deem him one of the ghost brethren. Sure he has a penchant for imprisoning people for 100 years but we’d still want to hang with him … because if you’re not with him, you’re against him. And that’s not a risk we’re willing to take.
9. Ghosts of Christmas Past, Present, Future, Mickey’s Christmas Carol

When you’ve had way too much fun hanging out with the other ghosts and need a healthy reality check, you can turn to the ghosts of Christmas past, present, and future. You might not like what you see, but only a true friend would use their time with you to be real.
