9 Random Disney Characters That Need Their Own Movie

One of the best things about Disney movies is that all of the characters, big and small, have a connection to the story. We often notice the random characters in the background and wonder, “What’s going on there?” Sometimes the obscure characters are so interesting that they could probably carry an entire movie on their own. Here are some of our favorite randoms and our thoughts on what their imaginary movie should be about:

  1. Kid being chased by pig, Beauty and the Beast

We bet this kid has a story to tell. He’s clearly not having a great day, notably because he’s being chased by a pig. But what happened after this moment? Did the pig catch him? We could watch a whole movie about this kid being chased. The twist would be that in the end, the pig has a change of heart and they become BFF.

  2. Teenager, Hercules

This random teen (on the right) in one of the towns Hercules visits has a whole lot of personality. We would love to see a high school rom-com about him and his friends, and all the shenanigans they get into.

  3. Panda, Mulan

The panda in Mulan is the best. Mushu uses the panda to pull off a disguise and the panda doesn’t even seem to notice. The panda then chews on Chi Fu’s slipper, which is hilarious. We would love to see a movie that shows a day in the life of this amazing and adorable panda.

  4. Wynchel and Duncan, Wreck-It Ralph

Even though these guys work for King Candy, they are pretty interesting. We would love to see a buddy cop comedy movie with them in the lead.

  5. Ulf, Tangled

Pretty much all of the Pub Thugs should have their own movie, but we think it would be super interesting to see Ulf’s journey to follow his dream of being a mime. Hopefully Flynn Rider would make a guest appearance and throw us some smolder.

  6. Ariel’s sisters, The Little Mermaid

If Ariel’s sisters had a movie, it would definitely be a musical. The movie would probably revolve around an under the sea music competition where the sisters are competing against neighboring merpeople. They would be the underdogs, go through some pretty rough rehearsals, and then learn how to get along and win the competition in the end.

  7. Sphinx guy, Aladdin

We just have to know what happened to this guy after Aladdin and Jasmine flew by and caused him to break the Sphinx. We’re sure he has an interesting story—and would love to hear his thoughts on seeing a magic carpet.

  8. Oaken, Frozen

Oaken’s Trading Post is such a hilarious and intrical part of Frozen, and we would love to see more. We think Oaken could have an entire movie that revolves around the comings and goings of his customers. Of course, Anna and Kristoff would have to make a guest appearance.

  9. Squirrel lady, Beauty and the Beast

And finally, we return to another random in Beauty and the Beast. She is one of our favorite random background characters and is shown in the shot above, holding a fish, which is being clung to by a squirrel. You can tell this woman has lived. We’d love to see an entire movie based on her daily life, including a scene that shows how she gets her hair to stay like that.

There are so many more obscure Disney characters that have a story to tell. Which random Disney character do you think needs their own movie? Tell us in the comments!
