9 Disney Character Pairs That Go Together Like Peanut Butter and Jelly

Is there anything more classic than a peanut butter and jelly sandwich? As kids, it was a must in our Disney-themed lunch boxes. As adults … it’s the same. Peanut butter and jelly were meant to be, and one wouldn’t quite be the same without the other. They’re just opposite enough that they compliment each other perfectly. So, to celebrate Peanut Butter and Jelly Day, we’ve decided to round up all of the Disney characters that are perfectly paired, and just as classic as a good ole’ PB & J. Behold, these amazing Disney friends:

  1. Timon and Pumbaa, The Lion King

This round up would not be complete without BFFs extraordinaire, Timon and Pumbaa. They are the best of friends, and we rarely see them apart. Timon knows how to tell a good joke, Pumbaa knows how to belt out a note, and they both know how to keep each other in check. Together, they are the perfect pair to show us all what the Hakuna Matata lifestyle is all about.

  2. Aladdin and Abu, Aladdin

    Aladdin-and-Abu-Shocked
These two are always getting into trouble. Like when Abu just had to steal that ruby from the Cave of Wonders. Good thing Al was there to get them both away from that crazy lava. Clearly Abu is the more mischievous of the two, and Aladdin is a little more level-headed. So, we guess that would make Aladdin the peanut butter, and Abu the jelly. Either way, they’re perfect together.

  3. Maximus and Flynn Rider, Tangled

    Lookalikes: Flynn and Maximus
Flynn and Maximus were not having it when they first met, but now they’re the best of friends. We imagine that when peanut butter and jelly first met, they were like, “Nope.” But then they realized that they were better together than apart. We realize we just personified peanut butter and jelly, but let’s face it, it was going to happen at some point in this round up.

  4. Charlotte and Tiana, The Princess and the Frog

DisneyBestFriends_Tiana and CharlotteCharlotte and Tiana were friends since childhood, but as they grew up, they had different goals and ambitions (i.e. Charlotte was all about marrying a prince, but Tiana was focused on opening her restaurant), but they stuck together like P.B. & J because sometimes best friends are just opposite enough to make each other stronger.

  5. Ariel and Flounder, The Little Mermaid

Flounder and Ariel The Little MermaidAriel and Founder are pretty much friendship goals. Ariel is strong willed and brave, and Flounder is sweet and somewhat fearful…of everything. They balance each other out like, you guessed it, PB and J.

  6. Cogsworth and Lumiere, Beauty and the Beast

DisneyBestFriends_Cogsworth and LumiereYou can’t get more opposite than Lumiere and Cogsworth! Lumiere is obviously the jelly of the two, and Cogsworth couldn’t be more peanut butter-esque, but together they form the PB & J pair that is the envy of all PB & Js.

  7. Mushu and Cri-Kee, Mulan

An unlucky cricket and an imposter dragon? On paper, you’d think they’d never work, but these two are the best pals Mulan could ask for on her epic journey.

  8. Judy Hopps and Nick Wilde, Zootopia

Judy and Nick are the perfect example of embracing the differences we all have. We loved them before they met, and love them even more as BFFs! We can’t imagine Zootopia without Nick and Judy together, making the world a better place.

  9. Heihei and Pua, Moana

Literally the cutest duo of all time. Heihei lives his life on the wild side, and does what he wants, including eating rocks. Pua is the more cautious of the two. Together, they are unbelievably adorable. Can we have them as our pets?

A happy Peanut Butter and Jelly day to everyone. We hope you spend it with the person who is the peanut butter to your jelly!
