Jacob Latimore has been popping up on our radar all year. First, we fell in love with his single “Heartbreak Heard Around the World” and we recently found out he’s going to be performing at Radio Disney’s Family VIP Birthday next week! Here are some things you need to know about this performer:
- He was born in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. (Brr!)
- Music is in his blood! His father and uncle were in a quartet called The Latimore Brothers.
- One of his first songs ever, “Best Friend,” was played by Radio Disney.

- He’s also an actor! He just appeared in The Maze Runner and had a guest spot on a Starz series.
- He’s only 18 years old, but he realized he wanted to be in the entertainment industry when he was 9.
- He got signed to Jive (now RCA) when he was just 13 years old.
- When he was learning to dance, he studied the choreography of The Temptations and B2K.
- His videos have over 17 million views on YouTube!
- He’s starting to get into writing his own music.
