Disney Travel Buddies Wishlist

Truth time. When we’re traveling, we always wish we had a Disney character companion with us. Why? We think the better question is: why not? Wouldn’t it make long flights and epic adventures less long and more epic? We think so. Here’s a few characters we think would make excellent traveling companions on our fictional vacation.

Genie from Aladdin
Genie would crack jokes non-stop and keep us entertained at all times. Also, there’s that three wishes thing which might come in handy when the airline inevitably loses our luggage at baggage claim. #NotBitter

Meeko from Pocahontas
Meeko loves hoarding food. What if we get hungry during a layover or nature hike or other things people do on vacation? We could share with Meeko. Problem solved.

Baloo from The Jungle Book
Baloo is just a cool dude. Sometimes we get stressed if we’re running late or if we can’t decide what type of gelato to order. Baloo would give us great advice and chill us out.

Hercules from Hercules
He’s easy on the eyes AND he could carry our luggage. (Warning: we always overpack.) Bonus: He could totally carry us from place if our feet get tired. #FreePiggyBackRides

Merlin from The Sword in the Stone
Merlin is both wise and magical. He also has a great singing voice. That’s a winning travel buddy combination, if you ask us.

Mike Wazowski from Monsters, Inc.
Mike’s the kind of guy we want in our corner. He’s smart and could totally get us out of any tricky situation. Also, he’s hilarious. A plus.

Dory from Finding Nemo
Dory just keeps swimming and that’s a quality we’d love in a travel buddy. How could we not smile from ear to ear with her on our vacation? Also, she speaks whale.

Merida from Brave
She’s brave (we had to). Also she’s Scottish. So if we were in Scotland she’d totally take us to all the local hot spots: the castle, the woods, the loch, that witches house…the highlights of the highlands, if you will.

Peter Pan from Peter Pan
He can fly. We want to fly. Like in the sky, not on an airplane. How much more fun would that be? A lot more.

Kronk from The Emperor’s New Groove
Sure, he’s an evil henchman, but he’s also a nice guy. He bakes. That proves it. He’s a sweetheart that we think would go with the flow and make an excellent travel buddy.

Belle from Beauty and the Beast
Belle said it herself. She wants adventure in the great wide somewhere. Us too! Plus, she would have THE BEST book recommendations. Can we please be travel buddies, please!?

Russell from Up
Adventure is out there and we totally want to find it. Russell has a knack for finding adventures, also he’s super cute and has all of those Wilderness Explorer badges so he knows how to start fires, and gather nuts in the woods and stuff.

Timon and Pumbaa from The Lion King
They said it themselves: hakuna matata. That’s totally our vacation catchphrase.

Jane from Tarzan
Girl is not afraid to get her petticoat dirty. She’s smart, appreciates nature and art, and isn’t afraid to try new things. We kind of want to be her.

Scuttle from The Little Mermaid
Scuttle is like a cultural attache. We would never have known that a fork’s real use was a dinglehopper without him. How embarrassing would that have been? We would have eaten with it!

There you have it. Our wish list of Disney travel buddies. Now we’re off to plan our fictional vacation. We hear Never Land is nice this time of year…
