Newsflash: we love Mondo (okay, this isn’t really news). Our “Nothing’s Impossible” gallery opened on Friday during South by Southwest and we were there to see the magic. The show had it all… mystery, romance, even a black cauldron (just the poster, but still). You can check out the entire gallery for the show here!
Mondo is a really cool website but an even cooler gallery. Fans started camping out on Tuesday evening for the Friday opening and had some amazing stories, just sharing food with each other and chatting to pass the time. One fan flew in from the United Kingdom just for the show! It was amazing to see so many people who love Disney as much as we do in one place.
This was the line the morning of the show:
By Friday afternoon the line was hundreds of people deep.
Jessica Olsen, the Mondo COO, had these awesome nails done for the occasion:
The show opened to the public at 3pm on Friday and fans couldn’t wait to get in.
This fan was the first in line and had been sleeping outside the gallery since Tuesday afternoon!
Many fans were buying the full set and simply couldn’t handle how great it was.
Some of the Mondo artists were also in attendance. Here’s Jason Edmiston posing in front of his beautiful character posters.
Jay Shaw was also on hand to celebrate his rendition of The Cat From Outer Space. Here he is with Mondo Creative Director Justin Ishmael.
This fan drove 20 hours from Iowa just to get to the show.
Here are some photos of the gallery. It’s an amazing space and Disney fit right in!
Mondo also had a family fun event on Saturday morning and we have this adorable photo of it:
Here’s some of our team with Justin and Jessica from Mondo! We had a blast.
We had such a great time celebrating Mondo and Disney and we hope that you love these posters as much as we do!
