Now that Toy Story’s 20th anniversary is in the past, it’s time to start looking forward to Toy Story 4, which is set to hit theaters on June 15, 2018. Though it’s been a while since we’ve heard anything about the new film, Tom Hanks revealed that production has officially begun! To celebrate, the actor shared a video on his Twitter account. Check it out below!
Yep! That’s Tom Hanks traveling to Pixar Animation Studios in Oakland, CA to once again provide the voice for our favorite sheriff, Woody. He stated, “Back to Oakland! Pixar! Working on #ToyStory4, partners! Hanx.”
According to previous announcements, Tim Allen is also slated to return as Buzz, alongside Annie Potts who portrays Bo Peep, and Joan Cusack, the voice behind Jessie. While we don’t know much about the film’s plot, we do know that Bo Peep will have a prominent role this time around.
During the D23 Expo this year, John Lasseter stated, “I love Bo Peep. She wasn’t in Toy Story 3 at all, so it really set us up nicely for her to come back. It’s a very special story.”
