You’ll Soon Be Able to Eat at Tiana’s Place and Visit Andy’s Room on the Disney Wonder Cruise Ship

Do you smell that? It’s the sweet aroma of Princess Tiana’s famous beignets and homemade gumbo–and it’s coming from a new restaurant aboard the Disney Wonder. Yep, that’s right. Soon guests of the popular cruise ship will be able to dine at Tiana’s Place, a venue inspired by The Princess and the Frog. But that’s not all, the all-new Marvel Super Hero Academy and more will be coming to the ship’s Oceaneer Club to delight kids ages 3-12, with a new English pub headed to the adult district.

Tiana's Place Restaurant

The new restaurant, which is exclusive to the Disney Wonder, will “transport guests to an era of southern charm, spirited jazz, and street party celebrations,” and will feature a menu influenced by southern-style cuisine. Guests of Tiana’s Place will be treated to live jazz, swing, and blues music as they dine. Special touches like Tiana’s family photos, water lily-shaped candleholders, and more will help set the tone, and “tell the timeless tale of Tiana’s journey from waitress to frog to princess to proud restaurant owner.”

Marvel Super Hero Academy

Disney’s Oceaneer Club will be seeing the addition of the Marvel Super Hero Academy. Here, kids will be able to train alongside Marvel super heroes like Spider-Man and Captain America. In one of the missions, Spidey will show up to “help children hone their spider senses by perfecting their skills of reflex, speed, and sharp minds.” After working on their web-slinging skills, kids will get to see themselves in the headlines of the Daily Bugle.

Elsewhere, kids will be able to enjoy fun Frozen-inspired entertainment with Frozen Adventures, a visit from Doc McStuffins at Club Disney Junior, and will feel toy-sized in the multi-level play space inspired by Andy’s Room.

This fall on the Disney Wonder, Disney Cruise Line guests will experience the newest addition to the After Hours adult district – an authentic English tavern. A selection of British and specialty beers create the perfect pub atmosphere where adult guests can sip a pint or cocktail, or sample a brew made especially for the pub. (Photo illustration, Disney)

Last but not least is the addition of a pub based on an authentic English tavern, in the adult district. Dark woods, plush leather furniture, brass accents, and subtle nods to classic Disney films decorate the venue. The bar will serve a selection of cocktails, British, and specialty beers and brews made especially for the pub.

The new enhancements will debut when the ship sets sail from Galveston, Texas, starting November 10. For more information and booking, head to disneycruise.com or call 888-DCL-2500.
