The First Moana Clip Has Washed Ashore to Make Your Monday Better

It’s hard to believe that we’re a little over a month away from watching Moana in theaters. The wait has been getting harder and harder with every trailer and sneak peek at the film’s concept art. Today for instance, a brand new clip has been making the rounds online. In it, we see Moana and Maui’s very first meeting. Things don’t quite go as planned—but it’s hilarious—and if possible, we’re now even more pumped for this movie. Check out the clip below to see what we mean:

As Moana discovers, Maui (Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson) sees himself as quite the celebrity. (We love how Maui blesses her with a signed oar, unprompted.) But, as Moana explains, she’s not there as a fan. There are bigger things going on in Moana’s world and we can’t wait to find out what’s in store.

Moana hits theaters on November 23.
