Last week, we found out that Ariana Grande and John Legend are recording a new version of Beauty and the Beast’s title track for the upcoming live-action film. The song was originally recorded by Céline Dion and Peabo Bryson and is definitely a timeless classic (it even won an Academy Award®, Golden Globe® and three GRAMMY Awards!). When we look back at the animated classic Beauty and the Beast, we will always remember Céline’s incredible vocals during the end credits.
So, we couldn’t be more excited about this breaking news: our queen Céline will be singing a new song for the live-action retelling of Beauty and the Beast! The song, “How Does A Moment Last Forever,” is written by Alan Menken and Tim Rice, and will play during the end credits of the film. You may remember Menken as the man who wrote the original music for the animated classic Beauty and the Beast with Howard Ashman, and Tim Rice as the man who wrote the music for The Lion King with Elton John (among so many others!). Needless to say, this is going to be excellent!
Céline Dion broke the news on social media, tweeting:
“Being a part of the original Beauty and the Beast was such a magical experience in my life, and I’m truly honored to be a part of this film again,” Dion added on Instagram.
We are honored to be able to listen to what will surely be a magical song! Pre-order the album here.
