Marvel Studios announced today that production has begun on Marvel’s Black Panther! The film, which takes place after the events of Captain America: Civil War, stars quite a powerhouse cast, including Chadwick Boseman (Captain America: Civil War), Michael B. Jordan, Academy Award winner Lupita Nyong’o (Star Wars: The Force Awakens), Danai Gurira, and Martin Freeman. This is such a dream cast—we are at a loss for words!

The movie will tell the story of T’Challa, who returns home to the African nation of Wakanda to assume his place as King. Conflicts with enemies will arise and Wakanda (and the world) will be at risk.
Black Panther will be directed by Ryan Coogler, who co-wrote the screenplay with Joe Robert Cole. Also in the cast are Forest Whitaker (Rogue One: A Star Wars Story), Andy Serkis (Star Wars: The Force Awakens), and Sterling K. Brown.
We are so excited to see Marvel’s Black Panther come to life, and hope the cast and crew have as great a time making the film as we are guaranteed to have when it hits theaters on February 16, 2018!
