Disneyland Paris launched its 25th Anniversary celebration year with a big party this weekend, and it looks like it was so magical! We can’t believe it’s already been a quarter of a century since Disneyland Paris first opened its doors.
At the launch of the celebration, Chairman of Walt Disney Parks and Resorts, Bob Chapek, and the Disneyland Paris team debuted new experiences that guests will be able to enjoy at the Park as part of its 25th Anniversary, which officially begins today. Here are some new experiences you can now enjoy at Disneyland Paris!
1) A dazzling new parade experience
Disney Stars On Parade features Mickey and Friends, as they become explorers of the future.
2) New scenes added to Star Tours: The Adventures Continue!
New adventures in galaxies far, far away? Sign us up!
3) Two new daytime shows near Sleeping Beauty Castle
Mickey Presents “Happy Anniversary Disneyland Paris” and The Starlit Princess Waltz.
Here is a photo from yesterday’s performance of Mickey Presents “Happy Anniversary Disneyland Paris.” Mickey looks so dapper in that sparkly blue costume.
And one from The Starlit Princess Waltz. How romantic!
4) A firework spectacular called “Disney Illuminations”!
A trip to a Disney Park is not complete until you witness a mind-blowing show filled with lasers, fireworks, and music!
The fireworks spectacular on Saturday also included a special, surprise performance by John Legend, who was visiting Disneyland Paris for the first time. Seems like a great way to spend your first visit! Legend performed a few songs, including an arrangement of “Beauty and the Beast,” created especially for the celebration.
Teri Hatcher was also on hand, bringing her father to the park on his first trip to Paris! What an incredible father-daughter bonding experience.
All in all, it sounds like an incredible weekend was had by all at Disneyland Paris. We can’t wait to get over there ourselves to check out these 25th Anniversary experiences. Head to Disney Parks Blog to check out a first-hand account of the event!
