Marvel’s New Warriors Series is Coming to Freeform and Will Feature Squirrel Girl

We’ve got some Marvel-ous news! Marvel’s New Warriors is coming to Freeform and will be featuring none other than … Squirrel Girl! Marvel enthusiasts and squirrels everywhere are cheering. The 10-episode live-action comedy has been ordered straight-to-series and is set to debut sometime in 2018. We. Can’t. Wait!

So here’s what we know so far: New Warriors will be a half hour scripted comedy following six young people with extra special powers as they aspire to be heroic while facing the trials and tribulations of growing up and entering adulthood. Besides Squirrel Girl (AKA Doreen Green), the rest of the characters are yet to be announced. We’re so excited to find out who will be joining the acrobatic, squirrel-talking teen who can fly!

Marvel Television and ABC Signature Studios are co-producing the series, and we’re eagerly awaiting more New Warriors details! Meanwhile, in other Marvel and Freeform news, a superhero romantic live-action drama, Cloak and Dagger, has also been ordered straight-to-series. Cloak and Dagger will star Olivia Holt and Aubrey Joseph. Freeform + Marvel = TV-watching happiness.
