Star Wars Celebration Orlando came to a close yesterday, and we’re still daydreaming about a galaxy far, far away. From some our favorite Star Wars panel surprises ever, to information about the upcoming Episode VIII: The Last Jedi in a panel hosted by Josh Gad, Star Wars Celebration was an endless gift to Star Wars fans everywhere. Speaking of gifts, let’s talk about Josh Gad and Daisy Ridley. Josh, of course, voiced Olaf in Frozen, played LeFou in the live-action retelling of Beauty and the Beast, and is the ultimate Disney fan. Daisy, aka one of our favorite people ever, portrays the amazing Rey in The Force Awakens and the upcoming The Last Jedi. The two have formed a hilarious friendship, including Josh’s relentless interrogations of Daisy to try to get information about The Last Jedi. We were so excited when Josh walked out on stage to host The Last Jedi panel at Star Wars Celebration, and he continued to ask Daisy questions like, “Is your name Rey Skywalker?” True to form, Daisy did not reveal anything! Later that day, the two apparently went to the Magic Kingdom in Walt Disney World to celebrate, and it was everything:
We love that Daisy made Josh sit in the front row of Splash Mountain, presumably as the ultimate payback for asking her so many questions about The Last Jedi. But seriously, can we go to the Magic Kingdom with them? Also, how adorable are they? Here’s a look at the two earlier in the day, backstage:
Clearly they are BFFs and we love it!
Here’s Daisy, John Boyega (who plays Finn), and Kelly Marie Tran (who plays Rose in The Last Jedi) on a golf cart, being the most awesome squad ever:
Josh also posted an epic gallery of some amazing behind-the-scenes shots of The Last Jedi panel, including BB-8, Mark Hamill (the one and only Luke Skywalker) and Lucasfilm President Kathleen Kennedy:
Speaking of BB-8, let’s take a look at John Boyega giving BB-8 the most adorable hug of all time:
Not even all of the heart eyes emojis in the world could express how we feel about this. Here’s John shooting T-shirts into the crowd at a panel, because he is the gift that keeps on giving:
Next up, Ashley Eckstein who voiced Ahsoka in Star Wars: The Clone Wars and Star Wars Rebels, and is the creator of the amazing clothing line Her Universe, took over the Star Wars Life Instagram handle and it was amazing. Here she is with Forest Whitaker (Saw Gerrera in Rogue One: A Star Wars Story):
Mark Hamill also delighted us with many amazing Instagram posts from behind the scenes of the panels, including this one of him and Josh Gad:
And this one of Mark, John Williams (composer of Star Wars), and Harrison Ford (aka Han Solo):
And this one of newcomer to the Star Wars universe, Kelly Marie Tran:
Lastly, The Last Jedi director Rian Johnson posted behind-the-scenes pics that were shown during The Last Jedi panel, and they were absolutely epic. Let’s begin with this pic of Oscar Isaac as Poe Dameron, holding a coffee cup like a champion:
And here’s Daisy on set as Rey:
We couldn’t be more thankful to the cast and crew of all of the Star Wars films, for giving us an inside look at Star Wars Celebration. We can only hope that one day we too will be able to ride Splash Mountain with Daisy Ridley and Josh Gad.
