A Disney Pirates Exhibit Is Coming to D23 Expo and We’ve Got All the Details

Ahoy! It’s going to be a pirate’s life at D23 Expo 2017! Thanks to the return of The Walt Disney Archives, this year’s event at the Anaheim Convention Center will feature a swashbuckling celebration of Disney pirates in an exhibit called “Walt Disney Archives Presents—A Pirate’s Life for Me: Disney’s Rascals, Scoundrels and Really Bad Eggs,” on display July 14-16.

In the 12,000-square-foot exhibit on the D23 Expo’s show floor, you’ll discover never-before-seen treasures honoring Disney pirates from film, television, and Disney Parks attractions. Hundreds of props, set pieces, costumes, artwork, and photography will be featured honoring our favorite pirate rapscallions, including Peter Pan’s Captain Hook and Pirates of the Caribbean’s Captain Jack Sparrow. There’ll even be a 23-foot-tall set model of the Black Pearl! You’ll also feast your eyes on the Dead Man’s Chest, as well as original props from the upcoming film, Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales! Matey, it’s going to be a thrilling affair!

And if that wave of exciting news wasn’t enough for you to want to buy your D23 Expo tickets right now, we have more to announce! The Walt Disney Archives will also present “Fantastical Fashions.” This fashionable exhibit will showcase a fabulous selection of dresses worn by Disney heroines and villainesses! Costumes from films such as Enchanted, Maleficent, and the live-action retelling of Beauty and the Beast will be featured! We can’t wait to see them all!
