We’ll soon be able to blast off–and have a blast–at the classic Space Mountain attraction in Disneyland! Returning to Tomorrowland June 1, the popular ride will be restored just as Space Mountain celebrates its 40th anniversary at Disneyland! (It was built May 27, 1977.) Our reaction:Currently reimagined as Hyperspace Mountain celebrating Star Wars, the classic Space Mountain relaunching this summer takes us on a thrilling intergalactic ride through space. You feel as if you’re rocketing through the galaxy! We’ll be counting down the minutes until we can once again ride this iconic Disneyland attraction.Space Mountain was first constructed at the Magic Kingdom at Walt Disney World Resort in 1975, and the Disneyland version opened soon after. The ride has become a fan favorite, and besides Disneyland and Disney World, recreations of Space Mountain have also been built at Tokyo Disneyland, Hong Kong Disneyland, and Disneyland Paris.
