7 Thoughts We Had During the Trailer for Olaf’s Frozen Adventure

We love Olaf so much that we once wrote up a full guide on how to give a warm hug like Olaf. We’ve also devoted serious time to figuring out if we are actually just like Olaf. So naturally, when we saw the brand new trailer for “Olaf’s Frozen Adventure,” we got really excited. The featurette will play before Disney•Pixar’s Coco in theaters on November 22. This is yet another of the many reasons why we cannot wait to head to the theaters to see Coco. Take a look at the trailer for”Olaf’s Frozen Adventure.” It’s worth melting for:

Okay, everyone. We just felt a lot of feelings. Mainly, joy. Olaf is off on an adventure to find “the best tradition Anna and Elsa have ever seen!” Here are the first things we thought while watching the trailer (on repeat):

  1. Olaf will always be adorable.

We love Olaf so much, because he is unwaveringly positive, genuinely honest, and really kind to his friends. He may get himself into a little trouble (that sleigh in flames situation looked rough), but he makes up for it with heaps of joy and sweetness.

  2. Sven is living his best life at all times.

Sven is consistently chill and is the perfect BFF for Olaf. And Kristoff. And all of us.

  3. We love that Olaf is experiencing so many holiday traditions.

We can’t wait to see all of the traditions he discovers—we’re already seeing quite a few we recognize in our own families.

  4. LOL, Olaf. He’s still got it.

When Olaf’s sleigh is in flames and he and Sven are sliding down the snowy hill, Olaf does not panic but instead says, “Wow, we’re making really good time.” Also, the moment he makes a candy cane his nose is pretty classic Olaf. We can’t help but giggle.

  5. The music makes us very happy.

When Anna and Elsa start singing it gives us life!

  6. Kristoff playing the guitar whilst wearing a cape is pretty perfect.

Kristoff doesn’t just sing, he does so while wearing a cape, that we’re guessing was made by his Troll family? Either way, he looks fierce.

  7. Wouldn’t be complete without a trip to the sauna.

Loving that Oaken makes a cameo in the sauna. We obvi yelled, “hoo-hoo!” as soon as we saw him.

There you have it, seven reasons why we loved the trailer for”Olaf’s Frozen Adventure.” Here’s what else we know: it is a 21-minute featurette that will feature four new original songs with the cast from Frozen the movie, including Josh Gad as Olaf, Kristen Bell as Anna, Idina Menzel as Elsa, and Jonathan Groff as Kristoff. It is directed by Emmy-winning filmmakers Kevin Deters and Stevie Wermers-Skelton (Prep & Landing), is produced by Oscar winner Roy Conli (Big Hero 6), and has original songs by Elyssa Samsel and Kate Anderson. What a team!

John Lasseter, chief creative officer of Walt Disney and Pixar Animation Studios said of”Olaf’s Frozen Adventure”:

“I’m thrilled that Disney Animation’s featurette”Olaf’s Frozen Adventure” will be coming to theaters in November with Pixar’s Coco. It’s a perfect pairing—they’re both beautiful, heartfelt films about families and how people carry traditions forward. I can’t wait for audiences to get to see both of these terrific projects together on the big screen.”

Plus, thanks to Entertainment Weekly, we also got this adorable still from the featurette:

We can’t wait to see”Olaf’s Frozen Adventure” play before Coco in theatres on November 22. We can already tell it’s going to be a great holiday season!
