The holidays are in full swing and everything is merry and bright! One of our favorite places to celebrate our holiday cheer is, of course, Disneyland Resort. We’re all about the epic holiday food, amazing lights, and decorations galore. Thankfully, even though Christmas is just around the corner, the holidays are happening at Disneyland Resort through January 7. So that’s where we’ll be in January when we’re sad that the holidays are coming to a close. If you’re also planning a trip to the Happiest Place on Earth to take in the holiday magic, here are some of our favorite things to do, as experienced by my teammate Taylor and me:
You’ll note that Taylor and I are decked out in our fave Minnie ears. If you’re also rocking your ears, remember that for every “ears” photo you share with #ShareYourEars, Disney Parks will donate $5 to the Make-a-Wish Foundation, up to $1 million! It’s a win-win: helping a good cause and wearing ears at the same time!
And now without further ado, our favorite things:
Holiday Decorations at Cars Land
Radiator Springs is truly a delight during the holidays. From a Christmas tree made entirely out of tires, to a Santa-hat-wearing Mater, it makes us v. happy. Here is a pic of said Santa Mater:
All the Festival of Holidays Food
Our general rule/life goal at all times: to try all the Disney food. We took a tour of the Festival of Holidays with our tasting passport and loved every minute:
Some of the beauties we saw were these adorable Mickey and Minnie Santa hat caramel apples:
And also these adorable Mickey and Minnie holiday caramel apples:
Cute and delicious! One of my favorite things was the egg nog macaron, which is very obvious from the look of pure joy on my face:
Don’t worry, I ate that macaron immediately after waving it in the air for this Boomerang. Bliss.
The Grizzly River Rapids Bear
We spent several minutes (read: half an hour) taking pics of this bear. He is dressed up in a festive holiday sweater and it is a delight:
Feeling great after seeing him IRL. Then it was off to Disneyland!
Nothing says the holidays like a visit from dear old Sandy Claws! This attraction is a classic in our hearts forever and ever.
More Holiday Food
Guess what? We also tried as many holiday snacks as we could at Disneyland, even though we had just done so at Disney California Adventure. It was a great decision. Take a look at these beautiful holiday crisped rice treats:
It’s as if Portrait Mode was made for them.
Sleeping Beauty Castle Holiday
It wouldn’t be the holidays without these twinkling lights on one of our favorite castles in the world:
Of course, we also took in the view from the Walt and Mickey statue:
Heart eyes emojis were felt and placed into our Instagram stories.
I estimate that we took 1,000 Boomerangs of the glimmering lights of “it’s a small world“, but I’ll only add this one:
This. Is. Magic. Speaking of …
This show is the perfect way to end a day of holiday Disneyland fun:
We wept tears of joy when we watched this show.
As you can see, Taylor and I had the time of our lives at Disneyland Resort during the holidays, and we’re already making plans to go back before January 7. If you need more Disney Parks holiday magic in your life (of course you do) make sure to check out the Disney Parks Magical Christmas Celebration on Monday December 25th on ABC!
Happy holidays, everyone!
