You’ve Got to See Skeleton Racer Yun Sung-bin’s Iron Man Helmet

If you’re going to slide headfirst down a frozen track at speeds hovering around 80mph, you might as well look cool and channel Iron Man while doing so. Well, at least that’s what we first assumed when we saw South Korean skeleton racer Yun Sung-bin. However, not only does Yun willingly compete in skeleton, he’s also one of the best in the sport, which he recently compared to Marvel’s iconic superhero. “The way people ride skeleton is similar to the way Iron Man flies,” Yun told Reuters.

In addition to the similarity, Yun is also a huge fan of Iron Man, which is the real reason why he wears him on his helmet. In the same Reuters article, Yun’s childhood friend Kim Joon-ho, said that Yun “has loved Ironman since he was young, he’s his role model.”

Yun isn’t the only racer who’s added a personal touch to his helmet, with other riders opting for animals and artistic graphics. Of course, this got us thinking about all the cool Disney-inspired designs one might put on a helmet. Skeleton racers, take note of the following ideas:

Hades

The Woodland Animals from Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs

Fellow racers will think you’re just there to show off your cute helmet design, but you’ll totally show them you mean business once you’re out on the track.

Scar and Simba fighting
Simba and Scar fighting near a fire at the end of The Lion King.Fearsome animals seem to be a popular helmet trend, and we’re hopping on the bandwagon! But seriously, think about how cool it would be to walk around with that intense scene on your helmet.
