These Are the Disney Things You Might Have Missed in March

Luck was on our side in March because we had so much sensational Disney news! From exciting Disney Parks updates on Pixar Pier and Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge, to the Oh My Disney Show’s first visit to the Oscars, to the premiere of American Idol on ABC, we can safely say that this has been an incredible month. In case you forgot, here are all the amazing Disney things that happened in March:

Let’s recap all of this amazingness!

The Oscars

Zootopia Movie Parody Posters

The Academy Awards season isn’t complete without another batch of Zootopia movie parody posters, featuring all the amazing nominees this year!

The Oh My Disney Show at the Oscars

It was our first time on the red carpet for the Oscars, which is a pretty big deal. We’re so proud of Disney•Pixar’s Coco for winning two awesome awards: Best Animated Feature Film and Best Original Song! Coco is definitely a film to remember.

What’s In the Works

Mickey Mouse’s 90th Birthday

Mickey Mouse’s 90th birthday calls for a worldwide celebration! There will be festivities at the Disney Parks, on Disney Channel and ABC, and on Disney On Ice, meaning we’ll be celebrating all day, every day.

Frozen on Broadway

When we first discovered who was playing the beloved Frozen on Broadway characters and saw the breathtaking production photos, we were pretty excited. But then we heard them sing, and our hearts melted. Our tickets are already booked!

Beauty and the Beast at the Hollywood Bowl

The tale as old as time is coming to the Hollywood Bowl, and it’s a dream come true! The cast list is iconic—with Zooey Deschanel as Belle, Taye Diggs as Gaston, and Rebel Wilson as LeFou, to name a few.

Mary Poppins Returns

The Oscars also blessed us with a new teaser trailer for Mary Poppins Returns, and it struck nostalgia in our hearts. We can’t wait ‘til it flies into theaters this Christmas!

Disney’s Christopher Robin

Before our tears had a chance to dry, a teaser trailer also dropped for Disney’s Christopher Robin and hit us right in the feels. It’s like our childhoods all over again!

Marvel Studios’ Avengers: Infinity War

The anticipation for Avengers: Infinity War is no joke. We get more and more excited with every new Avengers: Infinity War trailer, still, or poster release!

Marvel Studios’ Captain Marvel

Avengers: Infinity War is just the beginning of the Marvel-ous updates. Production just began for Captain Marvel, but we already know that she’s going to be one of our fave new superheroes!

Jon Favreau for Star Wars

Iron Man and The Jungle Book director Jon Favreau is set to executive produce and write a live-action Star Wars series! We’ve got a good feeling about this.

What’s New

A Wrinkle in Time

At last, we had the honor of getting acquainted with Mrs. Which, Mrs. Whatsit, and Mrs. Who when A Wrinkle in Time hit theaters, and it was everything we ever dreamed it would be.

American Idol

American Idol premiered on ABC with Katy Perry, Lionel Richie, Luke Bryan, and Ryan Seacrest, and we have but one word: wig.

Iconic Moments

Mickey Mouse Topiary

The Guinness World Record-breaking Mickey topiary structure stands about 61 feet tall in the Dubai Miracle Garden. Truly a miracle.

Mark Hamill’s Star

The man, the myth, the legend. Mark Hamill left his mark on the Hollywood Walk of Fame when he received his official star—and was joined by the legend George Lucas and Star Wars co-star Harrison Ford.

Next On Our Bucket List

Pixar Pier

Based on what we know so far about the summer 2018 Pixar Pier transformation at Disney California Adventure, it looks like it’s going to be spectacular. We’re so pumped to live out our favorite Disney•Pixar moments!

Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge

We got a bird’s-eye view of the construction site for Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge and have never been more ready to travel to a galaxy far, far away.

Super Hero-themed Areas at the Disney Parks

Our Spidey senses were tingling when we heard about the new Super Hero-themed areas coming to Disneyland Resort, Disneyland Paris, and Hong Kong Disneyland in 2020!

Disney Cruise Line Destinations

Disney Cruise Line released its summer 2019 lineup, which includes a first-ever round-trip cruise from Rome—on top of the return of cruises to Alaska, the Caribbean, and the Bahamas. We know what our next vacay plans are!

This past month has been truly magical, but there’s so much more to look forward to in the next coming months! What’s your favorite Disney thing that happened in March?
