We Can’t Wait to Visit Black Spire Outpost in Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge at the Disney Parks

We have incoming news from a galaxy far, far away! According to Disney Parks Blog, we’ve discovered that Black Spire Outpost is the name of the village in Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge, coming to Disneyland Resort and Walt Disney World Resort. We’ll be adding this stop to our Disney Parks itinerary!

Disney Parks Blog gave some background information on this mysterious village, saying: “Black Spire Outpost is an infamous stop for traders, adventurers, and smugglers traveling around the Outer Rim and Wild Space.” We can’t wait to meet all the unique and memorable characters bustling about in the village, which also happens to be the largest settlement on the planet Batuu!

As you may have figured out by the name, the outpost is known for its spires—or the petrified remains of ancient trees—that tower over the river valleys and plains. This concept art might give you a better idea of what to expect:

We’re excited to see this landmark with our very own eyes when Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge opens at Disneyland Resort in summer 2019 and at Walt Disney World Resort in late 2019!
