While we love watching Disney movies on screens of pretty much any size, we are always especially giddy when the opportunity arises to see the classics on the big screen again. This winter,The El Capitan Theatre in Los Angeles will screen The Little Mermaid, Sleeping Beauty, Beauty and the Beast (1991), Lady and the Tramp, and Cinderella (1950), in a two-month event appropriately called “Happily Ever After,” which also happens to be a perfect way to describe how we feel after learning this news.
Here are the dates you can see each of these classics:
The Little Mermaid
Catch Ariel’s underwater (and shorebound) adventures from January 18 to January 31.
Sleeping Beauty will screen in a special one-night event in celebration of its 60th anniversary on January 29.
Beauty and the Beast (1991)
From February 1 to February 10, relive the enchantment of this animated classic.
Lady and the Tramp
It’s been so long since we’ve seen this on the big screen! See it at the El Capitan from February 11 to 18.
From February 28 to March 3, El Capitan is the place to be if you want to spend time with Cinderella and her squad (aka Jaq, Gus Gus, and Bruno: our favorites).
In addition to these movies, fans at the El Capitan will be treated to character meet and greets with Ariel, Aurora, Belle, and Cinderella. “Happily Ever After” at the El Capitan Theatre begins January 18 and ends March 3. See you there!
