Summer is almost here, which means it’s the perfect time to start planning your trip to Walt Disney World! The good news is, there will be new experiences to greet you starting May 27. New rides, shows and more will grace Disney’s Animal Kingdom, Epcot, Magic Kingdom, Disney’s Hollywood Studios, and Disney Springs. Keep on reading for more information.
The fun kicks off at Disney’s Animal Kingdom park, with brand new day-into-nighttime experiences. The highly anticipated Tree of Life, a nighttime Kilimanjaro Safari, the new Tiffins Restaurant on Discovery Island, and new nighttime experiences through the park will be available on May 27. The following day, May 28, will see the premiere of the all new limited engagement nighttime show, “The Jungle Book: Alive with Magic” (based on Disney’s new live-action hit The Jungle Book) on Discovery River.
If you head to Epcot on June 17 (or any time after that), you’ll be able to board the all new Soarin’ Around the World attraction for the first time and see new additions to “Turtle Talk with Crush” with characters from Finding Dory. A few days later on June 21, Anna, Elsa and a few of their friends will welcome guests aboard the all-new Frozen Ever After boat ride, and the Norway Pavilion will see the opening of the Royal Sommerhus.
Also on June 17, Tiana and Rapunzel will join Anna and Elsa and more in “Mickey’s Royal Friendship Faire” at Magic Kingdom. Also, the Jungle Skipper Canteen Restaurant will open next door to the Jungle Cruise attraction, and Elena of Avalor will appear at Walt Disney World Resort later this summer, and at Disneyland Resort in the fall.
At Disney’s Hollywood Studios, the new Star Wars-themed fireworks show “Star Wars: A Galactic Spectacular” will debut on June 17. This experience joins the live stage show “Star Wars: A Galaxy Far, Far Away” which debuted April 4, and the march of Captain Phasma and the First Order Stormtroopers.
In addition to new stores and restaurants coming to Disney Springs, Olaf will be hosting the “Frozen Games” from May 27 through August 21. All in all, it’s sure to be a delightful summer. We can’t wait to visit the parks!
