8 of Our Favorite Moments During Our Trip Through Europe With Adventures by Disney and Disney Cruise Line

Adventure is out there! Especially when you travel with Disney. We got to experience the enchantment firsthand when Adventures by Disney and Disney Cruise Line swept us away to Europe for a short escape to Barcelona, followed by a 5-night Mediterranean cruise on the Disney Magic. Our trip took us from Barcelona to Cannes to Livorno to Civitavecchia, and then back to Barcelona.

Can we just take a moment to say: We. Love. Our. Job.

Okay, now on to the good stuff. Here are our 8 favorite things about traveling through Europe with Disney.

1. When we tried all the food.

One of the most important things you’ll need to pack for these trips is your appetite. Even the rumbliest of tumblies will be satisfied, whether it’s with a 7-course tapas meal in Barcelona or all-you-can-eat ice cream onboard. Pictured here: the Mickey Cappuccino at Disney Magic’s Cove Café!

2. When we met our favorite characters.

Going overseas is a lot less daunting when there are familiar faces all around you. Cruising right alongside us was Mickey, Minnie, Donald, Goofy, and Pluto!

3. When we saw Flynn Rider’s smolder.

A major highlight of our Barcelona trip was seeing a flamenco show in Poble Espanyol. The dancing, music, and energy were unreal! Every aspect of Adventures by Disney was a treat for the senses. Likewise, there’s no such thing as “being bored” when you’re aboard a Disney Cruise. Each evening on the Disney Magic was packed with shows like Twice Charmed, Tangled: The Musical, and Disney Dreams. Plus variety shows, movie screenings, meet ‘n’ greets, and trivia—we always had something to do!

4. When we basically had our own fairy godmother.

There are so many people who made our travels special. It’s like we had genies and fairy godmothers at every turn! From our Adventure Guides Marco and Korey in Barcelona, to our Cruise Director Clayton and Hotel Director Ugo on the Disney Magic, to Rinesh and his team at Palo. Each person we met on the trip made wherever we were feel like a home away from home.

5. When we felt at home everywhere we went.

Our hotel in Barcelona was in the perfect spot to branch out and explore the city. Places like Las Arenas and Font Magica were a short cab ride (or healthy jaunt) away. On the cruise, our staterooms were perfect, and most people took the time to decorate their doorways with Disney whozits and whatsits galore! Not to mention the towel animals and chocolates they surprised us with daily.

6. When we went to some iconic places.

Most of the time, we were out and about, which brings us to our next favorite thing about traveling with Disney: VIP access. We got to see places like Park Güell to view works by Gaudí, the Basilica at Montserrat in the mountains of Catalonia, and the Vatican in Rome. Globetrotting with Adventures by Disney means getting special entry to the most iconic places in the world! Here’s us reppin’ Oh My Disney at the Colosseum. The Colosseum, guys! Is this real life?!

7. When we didn’t have to worry about anything.

Everything from bags to transportation to dietary needs was taken care of on these trips. No detail spared! Adventures by Disney and Disney Cruise Line went to great lengths to make sure all of us could travel in true hakuna matata style.

8. When we made friends over ice cream.

When you’re traveling with the same bundle of people for 10 days, it’s hard not to make new friends! On our Barcelona excursion with Adventures by Disney, we stuck with the same small cohort of people, and by the time we got to the Disney Magic, it felt like we were a community. On top of seeing some of the world’s most astounding places together, you’re also dining together, awing over the same performances together, and bumping into each other at the ice cream machine. A true recipe for friendship!

Needless to say, this experience was one for our Adventure Book. Swear you’ll meet us one day on an Adventures By Disney trip or a Disney Cruise? Cross your heart!
