We Rode the Incredicoaster for the First Time and It Was … Incredible!

Recently, two of our most super reporters, Sheri and Ryan, visited Disney California Adventure Park for a special preview of the new Incredicoaster on Pixar Pier. Here are their thoughts and experiences from the day!

To say the Incredicoaster is incredible would be an understatement. The Incredicoaster, named after—you guessed it—The Incredibles, takes guests on a thrilling ride through the newly reimagined Pixar Pier at Disney California Adventure Park. We couldn’t wait to see Mr. Incredible, Elastigirl, Dash, Violet, Jack-Jack, and of course, Edna Mode!

But before we got on the ride … Sheri spotted a Jack-Jack Cookie Num Nums stand and couldn’t resist the smell. Straight from the oven came the most delectable, warm, chocolaty confection perfection ever. Once Sheri had her cookie (and Ryan had taken enough pictures), we were ready to ride! Watch and see how our super adventure went:

The ride starts with a new, totally awesome queue surrounding a building that looks just like the Parrs’ new house from Incredibles 2. Before we knew it, we were on board and ready for takeoff! Edna and Jack-Jack, being too short to ride, were in the VIP waiting lounge, but right away, Jack-Jack vanished from Edna’s sight! As you’d expect from any polymorphous baby, Jack-Jack wreaks havoc along the coaster, and his Super family has to swoop in to save the day.

Dash showed up to chase after Jack-Jack and we got to follow him! He counted down… 5, 4, 3, 2 –– DASH!

As we rocketed through the coaster, we got to see every character we love! Mrs. Incredible, a.k.a. Elastigirl stretched to reach Jack-Jack, Mr. Incredible served up some Cookie Num Nums (complete with that familiar and delicious scent), and Jack-Jack continued to use his powers to surprise.

“Did you see Violet or is she invisible?” – Ryan

After all that, here it was, the loop! Hold on to your super suits!

We zoomed, whizzed, and screamed our way to the grand finale, where Jack-Jack returned to Edna safe and sound (wait ‘til you see it).

What a rush! Here are our final thoughts:

“Incredible! Exciting! Bold! Dynamic! I’m so glad I didn’t wear a cape.” – Ryan

Pixar Pier is open now at Disney California Adventure Park at Disneyland Resort. And make sure to experience Pixar Fest at Disneyland Resort before it ends on September 3! Suit up for super good times!
