“A Fan’s Guide to Spider-Man: Homecoming” aired on Disney Channel today, and it got our Spidey senses tingling! The special was hosted by Spider-Man himself, Tom Holland, and Zendaya, who plays Michelle in the movie. It showed us not only that Tom Holland and Zendaya are adorable and have great chemistry, but it also gave us a sneak peek into all the fun and action we have to look forward to come July, when Spider-Man: Homecoming swings its way into theatres.
All of the action sequences will be amazing.
The special gave us a few sneak peeks into some of the movie’s thrilling scenes, including one really incredible one at the Washington Monument.
Facts about Spider-Man’s outfit.
The new suit was custom-made for Peter Parker by Tony Stark, so you know it’s going to have very impressive technological bells and whistles—including a spider drone!
Tom Holland said: “The suit is one of the coolest things that has ever happened to me in my whole life. Wearing that suit for the first time was just a dream come true.”
The beginning of the movie will explore the events of Captain America: Civil War from Peter Parker’s perspective.
Spider-Man: Homecoming will also follow Peter Parker’s story after the battle from Captain America: Civil War, as he tackles his next big challenge: high school. Pretty legit. We’re ready for it.
Robert. Downey. Jr!!
As Zendaya mentioned during the special, Iron Man has never been seen in a Spider-Man movie before, so Spider-Man: Homecoming will be breaking new ground here.
Peter Parker will have a friend who knows his secret.
Ned, played by Jacob Batalon, will be in on Peter Parker’s big Spidey secret, which will add a new element to the movie that we haven’t seen before. Not to mention, this is a great angle for what looks to be a lot of comedic moments between the two best friends, as they try to keep the secret together.
Marisa Tomei and Michael Keaton will be a perfect Aunt May and Vulture, respectively.
Marisa Tomei is one of our favorite actresses, and we know she will breathe new life into the character of Aunt May. As the villain, Michael Keaton is sure to add a lot of unexpected dimension to Vulture.
In fact, all of the characters seem well-rounded and relatable.
Liz Allan, played by Laura Harrier, is Peter Parker’s love interest in the movie, and Laura describes her as “driven and smart.”
Zendaya’s character in the movie, Michelle, also seems like the kind of character we will really love. Michelle is kind of an outcast, but she isn’t afraid to speak her mind and be real with people.
As producer Kevin Feige puts it, Spider-Man is “the greatest superhero of all time.” We can’t wait to see him back in action!
